Courageous You is based in Seattle Washington (providing services throughout WA, ID, and FL and is led by me, Sarah Wolfer; a licensed clinical psychotherapist and certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist with specialized training and lived experience around working with partner(s), queer folx, and non-monogamous humans. My life’s work is to provide safe and supportive spaces for queer, non-monogamous, and neurodivergent humans to explore their inner world and find the healing they need to live a fulfilling life. Courageous You is dedicated to realizing this mission by providing trauma-informed psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for those who are part of these communities.

What is Ketamine-Assisted Therapy?

Here Are Your KAP Options
I work mostly with LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and/or non-monogamous individuals seeking to address depression, anxiety, PTSD, adjustment disorders, gender identity, or other aspects of their queer or non-monogamous identities. My ketamine-assisted therapy combines the transformative potential of ketamine with the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, creating a safe and supportive space to explore and heal deep-seated emotional patterns. Clients typically engage in 2-4 preparation sessions, followed by 6-8 dosing sessions, each accompanied by an integration session the next day. The timing of dosing sessions is flexible, usually scheduled 1-4 weeks apart, allowing for a more personalized healing journey. Though I primarily work with these communities, I am open to working with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are ready for the transformative healing power of ketamine-assisted therapy. You can schedule your FREE consultation to get started.
I work with relationships of all types including couples and polycules, adult familial relationships, friendships, relationship anarchists, life partners, and more to heal and strengthen their relationships by combining the transformative potential of ketamine with the Gottman Method, CBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach. I help people to explore and address deep-seated emotional patterns, improve communication, and rebuild trust. Ketamine can open new pathways for understanding, allowing individuals to access and process complex emotions in a supported and non-judgmental environment, fostering deeper connection and mutual growth in their relationships.
I also offer ketamine therapy in a virtual group setting with up to 4 participants at a time. In this setting the power of community becomes a vital part of the healing process. By combining the transformative effects of ketamine with the group therapy approach, participants can explore and reframe deeply held beliefs and emotions in a safe, supportive environment. As these insights are shared within the group, the collective energy amplifies the healing process, reducing feelings of isolation and fostering a profound sense of belonging. I hold regularly scheduled short and long term groups for those who are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or non-monogamous, and I can also hold privately scheduled groups with up to 4 participants. Group KAP is also a more affordable option. You can check out my current group offerings HERE or get your own private group of 2-4 participants together and we can begin the healing journey.
These sessions provide a more affordable option for clients seeking the benefits of ketamine-assisted therapy while still receiving the support of a therapist. These sessions give clients the flexibility to guide their own ketamine experience in the comfort of their homes, while still having me, Sarah, available throughout the process. I will check in before and after the dosing sessions to review your vitals and ensure things are going smoothly. We will still have preparation and integration sessions as part of this KAP Program and while you’re in charge of your dosing experience, you won’t be navigating it alone. You can read more about self-led KAP HERE.

KAP serves as a complementary approach to psychotherapy, aimed at maximizing the positive effects of the treatment.
I utilize Ketamine in conjunction with therapy as an enhancement tool, allowing us to leverage its advantages—like promoting neuroplasticity—to achieve lasting transformations in harmful patterns.

This approach is particularly effective for addressing relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress. Ketamine delivers swift antidepressant and mood-boosting effects that may last for up to 2-4 weeks. Furthermore, emerging research suggests that ketamine therapy could influence a broader spectrum of mental health issues with more being discovered every day.
The Unique Profile of Ketamine Versus Traditional Psychedelics
Exploring the key distinctions between Ketamine and traditional psychedelics reveals significant differences in their onset, duration, and mechanisms of action. Understanding these variations can enhance treatment decisions and therapeutic approaches for individuals seeking mental health support.
Ketamine Treatment Options
I primarily focus on oral administration, collaborating with the medical team at Journey Clinical that prescribes oral tablets. Additionally, I am open to partnering with facilities to manage the preparation and integration aspects for one of the other administration methods (IV, IM, or intranasal). This allows for a comprehensive approach to care across various routes of treatment.

What At-Home Ketamine-Assisted Therapy at Courageous You Includes

What's the Cost?
The cost for Ketamine-Assisted Therapy varies by type of KAP you are seeking (individual, relationship, small group, or self-led) and the number of sessions you need. Accessibility to my communities is an important value of mine so I offer a variety of options for KAP treatment at various price points.
In general though, clients will have 2-4 (50-minute) preparation sessions for $165/session. Dosing sessions are generally 2.5-3 hours in length and cost $495 for therapist-led sessions. Self-led dosing sessions are $100 per session and involve check-ins before and after each dosing session, but i will not be there during the actual dosing sessions. Most often clients need 6-8 dosing sessions but this varies person by person. All dosing sessions (therapist and self-led) require integration sessions scheduled within 72 hours of each dosing session ($165 per 50-minute session). Small group KAP is a more affordable option and the cost varies by the type of group, number of participants, and number of sessions.

I am currently in network in WA state with Regence, First Choice Health, United, Optum, and Kaiser. I am not paneled with any insurance networks in ID or FL as of now, but as an out-of-network provider, I can provide you with superbills that often lead to partial reimbursement. I also accept HSA cards and have limited sliding scale spots based on need and availability. I am also looking into alternative funding options in the future. Stay tuned!
