Non-Monogamous Therapy
Life is wild, being a person is hard and everyone deserves support.

I provide virtual psychotherapy for those curious about or already engaged in non-monogamy and are located in WA, ID, or FL.

As a member of this community, I am keenly aware of the many difficulties that can surround living openly as a non-monogamous human. I am supportive and caring in helping others create a new path for themselves in their kink, polyamory, relationship anarchy, and LGBTQ+ identities and am happy to offer you a safe and therapeutic space for you at Courageous You.

Culturally, there remain many misunderstandings and stigmas about non-monogamy and when you are engaged in these relationship styles, many challenges can come up. These can include rejection from family members and friends, criticisms about raising children, stigma from mental health and other healthcare providers, and more. Given fears concerning disclosure, many people engaged in non-monogamous relationships feel pressure to hide their relationship style from those in their lives, often including their own therapist.
Well, I am here to help you navigate all of the unique challenges and opportunities that can come up for you as a human who is curious about or already engaged in non-monogamous relationship structures. I promise I will not judge you or the ways in which you do relationships.
I honor all identities including everything that falls under the consensual non-monogamy umbrella, as well as kink and queer identities that may or may not overlap. My goal is to better understand your unique life and relationship needs and to work with you wherever you are, and whoever you are. I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and entire polycules.. the more dynamics the better!

How it works:
I believe it's possible to move from survival mode to a place of ease. You can thrive, live your purpose and find your joy … even in these challenging times.
You might be wondering what therapy with me looks like, and it’s a good question.
While I bring clinical expertise, you are the expert on your own life and our collaboration in healing is everything. I show up as a real person and believe that everyone is doing the best they can, when they can. I’ll help you identify your strengths, cultivate your internal and external resources, and make concrete plans that are in line with your goals.
In your therapy with me, we also look at how our world shapes us. This means looking at social/cultural factors and political influences and their influence on how you got to where you are. At the same time, we will take a look at your unique life blueprint and how the experiences you’ve had (both the positive and the challenging ones) helped to create your current reality.
I then use a mix of out-of-the-box and evidence-based practices to help my clients get to where they want to be.
These May Include:
-
Parts work from the Internal Family Systems Model
