Sustained

support for

deeper change.

The Comprehensive Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Program

This longer-term ketamine-assisted therapy program (9 dosing sessions) is designed for individuals seeking depth, continuity, and integration over time. It supports meaningful shifts in long-standing emotional and nervous system patterns. Kink‑affirming, poly‑affirming, queer‑affirming  and neurodivergent-affirming KAP. Available via telehealth in Washington, Idaho, and Florida.

The Comprehensive Program is designed for those seeking deeper, more sustained therapeutic work when patterns feel persistent or deeply rooted. This may include longstanding depression, anxiety, trauma, or relational dynamics that have not fully shifted through insight alone. Ketamine, when combined with skilled, trauma informed support, can help create space for meaningful nervous system change, emotional processing, and new possibilities. Over time, this work supports integration, flexibility, and lasting transformation.

There are moments when what we need is not a temporary shift, but depth and sustained support.

It is a sustained space for meaningful change.

Ketamine supports the brain’s ability to reorganize and form new patterns, helping loosen rigid cycles of thought, emotion, and nervous system response. Through neuroplasticity, this work can create opportunities for meaningful change that extend beyond temporary relief. In this immersive program (9 medicine journeys), each experience builds on the last, supporting deeper integration, greater flexibility, and more sustainable transformation over time.

With Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, you may…

  • Notice shifts in mood within hours to days

  • Feel more open to new perspectives and possibilities

  • Loosen patterns of thought, stress, or self protection that once felt rigid

  • Experience relief from the accumulated weight of trauma, masking, or chronic stress

  • Build changes that feel more authentic, sustainable, and aligned with your lived reality

This approach is often a good fit for those who have spent years feeling too sensitive, too intense, or too complicated. Ketamine-Assisted Therapy can open a different kind of space, where your brain, body, and lived experience are fully welcomed and new perspectives can begin to emerge.

What Makes Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Unique

Many people turn to ketamine after trying other treatments that haven’t brought enough relief. What makes this therapy unique is how quickly it works, how it supports the brain in healing, and how it can help even when other approaches haven’t.

Works in a New Way

Unlike traditional antidepressants, ketamine acts on different brain receptors, helping reset how your brain communicates and opening space for healing.

Fast Relief

Most antidepressants can take weeks to work. Ketamine often begins to ease symptoms within hours to days, offering hope more quickly.

Support for Suicidal Thoughts

Ketamine has been shown to reduce suicidal thinking rapidly, creating safety and space for healing when it’s needed most.

Helps When Other Treatments Haven’t

For people who haven’t felt enough change with therapy or medications, ketamine offers another path forward; one that can bring real relief.

High Response Rate

Research shows that 70-80% of people experience meaningful improvements with ketamine, even if other treatments didn’t help.

Why Therapy Matters in Ketamine-Assisted Healing

Ketamine opens a powerful window for change, but therapy is what makes those changes last. Through therapy, you’ll have support to:

  • Feel safe and grounded before, during, and after treatment

  • Work with what comes up, instead of feeling lost or alone in the experience

  • Use the “neuroplastic window” to practice new patterns that can truly take root

  • Carry insights into daily life so healing extends far beyond the session

What Happens in The Comprehensive Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Program?

Once you’ve completed your medical screening with Better U and are approved, you’ll receive your ketamine prescription in the mail. At the same time, I’ll send you a Courageous You Welcome Kit with thoughtful tools including your 200+ page interactive workbook, ginger mints, headphones, eye shades (and more) to help you feel supported from the very start.

From there, the program follows a structured yet flexible flow designed to balance safety, depth, and lasting change:

  • Intake – We take time to understand your story, including your history, identity, relationships, and how your body carries stress, so we can anticipate what will best support you.

  • Preparation – Over 4 sessions, we practice grounding tools, clarify boundaries, and work through the Courageous You KAP Workbook to build a strong foundation of safety and readiness.

  • Intentions & Environment – Together we clarify your hopes and co-create the setting; through music, comfort items, and rituals, that will help you feel steady and supported.

  • Medicine Journey – During your first dosing session, you’ll take sublingual ketamine and settle into an inward-focused state with my guidance and presence throughout.

  • Ongoing Dosing Options – After your first therapist-supported journey, you may choose the level of support that feels most appropriate for future sessions. Some clients continue with therapist presence, while others invite a trusted support person or chaperone of their choosing.

  • Processing & Anchoring – During the medicine experience, emotions, imagery, or physical sensations may arise. You are invited to notice, stay curious, and allow experiences to unfold while we gently support integration of meaningful insights.

  • Closure – Each session ends with grounding and orienting so you leave feeling safe and steady.

  • Integration – Integration sessions take place the next day or within 72 hours of each dosing session to help maximize the therapeutic benefits. In these sessions, we weave your experiences into daily life through reflection, somatic processing, and practical application. This cycle of dosing and integration typically repeats 9 times, depending on your needs and goals.

What It Feels Like

Many people describe ketamine sessions as entering a dreamlike or meditative state. Physically, your body often feels heavier, softer, and deeply relaxed. Some people notice their breathing slowing, muscles unclenching, or a gentle warmth spreading through the body. Others describe a sense of floating, as if being carried or held.

Alongside the physical shifts, the mind may open in new ways. You might:

  • Experience colors, sounds, or sensations that feel richer or softer

  • Notice memories resurfacing with more clarity or compassion

  • Feel waves of calm moving through the body

  • Rest in a state of quiet stillness where the mind finally eases

  • Sense a deepened connection to yourself, others, or something larger

Every journey is unique. Some sessions bring reflection and insight, while others offer a soothing spaciousness. What matters most is that you’ll be supported the whole time with grounding practices, an attuned presence, and a safe container to explore whatever arises in both body and mind.

The Comprehensive Isn't the Only Path...

The Catalyst is a high-impact KAP intensive designed for quick, meaningful shifts. It includes 5 powerful ketamine journeys, intentional preparation and integration, and targeted support to help you move through what's been stuck.

This is therapy with a clear beginning, middle, and end ideal if you’re seeking a reset, not a deep dive. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, hitting a therapeutic plateau, or craving momentum, The Catalyst offers a focused, shorter-term path forward without the longer commitment of a full program.

Partnering with Better U for Your Care

As a Better U KAP Provider, I partner with their specialized medical team to ensure your care is safe, thorough, and well-supported. Better U handles the medical side of treatment reviewing your health history, determining eligibility, prescribing ketamine lozenges, and monitoring outcomes while I guide you through the therapeutic process.

In this program, we use sublingual ketamine lozenges. These are small tablets you hold in your mouth, swish for about 12 minutes, and then spit out. This method is gentle, safe, and effective for at-home treatment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is ketamine-assisted therapy safe?

Safety is a central part of the Comprehensive Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) Program. Before beginning treatment, every client completes a therapeutic consultation and a medical screening to determine whether ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a safe and appropriate option.

The program includes structured preparation sessions, monitored medicine experiences with blood pressure tracking, and dedicated integration sessions. This approach helps create a supportive therapeutic container where ketamine is paired with intentional psychotherapy rather than used on its own.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is not appropriate for everyone. Certain medical or psychiatric conditions may require additional evaluation or may make ketamine therapy unsafe. That is why screening, preparation, and ongoing clinical support are built into the Comprehensive KAP Program to help ensure the process is approached thoughtfully, safely, and with care.

What if I feel nervous about doing ketamine therapy?

Feeling nervous about trying ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is very common. Many people feel some uncertainty before their first medicine experience, especially if they have never had a psychedelic or altered-state experience before.

Preparation sessions are an important part of the process and are designed to help you understand what to expect, explore your intentions, and develop tools that can help you feel grounded and supported during the experience.

You are never expected to rush into the process. We move at a pace that feels thoughtful and supportive, and the goal is to create an environment where you feel safe, informed, and well prepared before any medicine sessions take place.

How should I prepare for my medicine session?

Preparation is a core part of every program; not something you’re expected to figure out on your own. You’ll receive four dedicated preparation sessions where we clarify your intentions, build skills for navigating altered states, and create a plan for support before, during, and after your medicine experiences. You’ll also get a 100–200 page interactive KAP workbook, access to an online portal with an ever-growing library of videos, and additional resources designed to help you feel informed, grounded, and thoroughly prepared for your ketamine sessions.

What happens during a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy session?

During a ketamine-assisted psychotherapy session, you take a carefully prescribed dose of ketamine in a comfortable and supportive setting. Many people describe entering a more inward, reflective state where thoughts, emotions, and memories may feel easier to explore from a different perspective.

You typically wear an eye mask and listen to music while the medicine takes effect. The experience usually lasts about 45 to 90 minutes. The goal is not to force insights or control the experience, but to allow whatever arises to unfold with curiosity and support.

In the Comprehensive KAP Program, the first medicine session with Sarah is three hours to allow time to move slowly, create a supportive container, and ensure you feel grounded throughout the experience. After the first session, the level of therapist presence can vary depending on your needs. Some clients prefer two to three hours of therapeutic support, while others may choose self-led dosing sessions if they feel comfortable with that structure and budget is a consideration.

All sessions are conducted through telehealth, and every medicine session requires a trusted in-person chaperone to support safety and comfort during the experience.

After the medicine portion of the session, we spend some time gently reflecting on the experience. Deeper integration work typically happens during the integration session scheduled within the following 24 to 48 hours, when the brain may be more open to learning and new perspectives.

What is integration and why is it important?

Integration is the process of making sense of what emerged during a ketamine session and translating those insights into meaningful change in daily life.

During integration sessions, we explore themes, emotions, and realizations that came up during the experience. This might include reflecting on patterns in relationships, processing difficult emotions, or identifying small steps that support lasting change.

Integration sessions are typically scheduled within 24 to 48 hours after a ketamine experience, when the brain may be more open to learning and new perspectives. This window can help support the process of turning insights into lasting shifts in thought patterns, behaviors, and emotional responses.

Ketamine can open a window for new perspectives, but integration therapy is what helps those insights become part of everyday life. In the Comprehensive KAP Program, integration is a core part of the process rather than something that happens after the fact.

What makes the Comprehensive KAP Program different from the other KAP options you offer?

The Comprehensive KAP Program is designed for people who want a deeper, more supported therapeutic process rather than a shorter or more introductory experience. The program includes four preparation sessions, nine medicine sessions, and ten integration sessions, allowing insights from the ketamine experience to be explored and translated into meaningful change over time.

This structure allows us to move at a thoughtful pace, build a strong therapeutic foundation, and work with patterns that may have developed over many years. The focus is not only on the medicine sessions themselves, but on the full arc of preparation, medicine experiences, and integration that supports lasting change.

Other options offer different levels of structure and focus. The Catalyst KAP Program provides a shorter introduction to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. The Somatic EMDR KAP Program integrates ketamine therapy with somatic and EMDR-informed trauma processing.

For individuals who are receiving ketamine treatment through another clinic or medical provider, I also offer Preparation & Integration Support to help ensure the experience is approached intentionally and the insights from the medicine are meaningfully integrated afterward.

During your free consultation, we can explore which option best fits your goals, pacing, and level of support you are looking for.

How long does the Comprehensive KAP Program take?

The Comprehensive KAP Program typically takes about 5 to 11 months, depending on how the sessions are spaced. Some clients choose to schedule medicine sessions about every two weeks, while others prefer a slower pace of about once a month to allow more time for reflection and integration between experiences.

This pacing allows space for meaningful preparation, medicine sessions, and integration work so that insights from the experience can be explored and applied over time.

During your consultation, we can talk through the different pacing options and determine a timeline that feels supportive and realistic for you.

What if I already have a therapist?

Absolutely; all programs work beautifully as an adjunct to existing therapy. If you don’t currently have a therapist, I can continue as your therapist after the KAP program (as long as I have space for this). If you already have a therapist, KAP can be a powerful add-on, and with your permission, I’ll collaborate closely with them throughout the process. I’m very hands-on with other professionals when that feels good to you, and I love coordinating care to ensure your therapist is informed about what KAP entails and how to best support you through each phase of the work.
