Rewire trauma
where it lives
in your body
Somatic EMDR Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Program
When trauma is stored in your nervous system, talk therapy alone, often isn't enough. This comprehensive program integrates somatic awareness, EMDR bilateral processing, and ketamine-assisted therapy (including 8 medicine journeys) to create lasting nervous system change. Designed for individuals seeking depth, body-centered healing, and sustained transformation. For clients in Washington, Idaho, or Florida.

Somatic therapy works gently with the body’s stored responses to stress and threat. Things like tension, breath patterns, or posture.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed method that helps the brain reprocess trauma in a way that reduces its emotional intensity.

Ketamine-Assisted Therapy creates a "neuroplastic window"—a brief period when your brain is exceptionally open to change—allowing deeper rewiring of trauma patterns at the neural level.

Together, Somatic EMDR Ketamine-Assisted Therapy creates a comprehensive path that supports both emotional insight and physical release, especially when talking alone isn't enough.
Trauma lives in the body as much as in memory, and healing does too.
EMDR for the mind, somatic therapy for the body, and ketamine for the neuroplastic window.
This integration uses gentle bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, tapping, or sound) alongside body-based practices such as breathwork, micro-movements, and nervous system awareness.

Together, they create space for trauma to shift on both emotional and physical levels, offering relief where talk therapy alone may not reach.

With ketamine's neuroplastic window amplifying this work, you're not just processing trauma cognitively, you're rewiring how your nervous system holds and responds to it.
With Somatic EMDR Ketamine-Assisted Therapy, you may…
-
Notice shifts in mood and nervous system regulation within hours to days; and deepen that change through somatic integration
-
Feel more open to new perspectives and possibilities, grounded in your body's felt sense of safety
-
Release patterns of thought, behavior, and trauma responses that once felt unmovable, rewiring them at the nervous system level
-
Experience shifts in how your body holds and responds to old triggers and memories
-
Build changes that last through guided preparation, medicine work, and deep somatic EMDR integration sessions

This approach can be especially supportive if other therapies or medications haven't brought enough relief, if talk therapy alone hasn't addressed your trauma at the body level, and for those seeking a new pathway toward sustainable nervous system healing.

What Makes Somatic EMDR Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Unique
Many people turn to this integrated approach after trying other treatments that haven't brought enough relief or lasting change. What makes this program unique is how it combines three powerful modalities working together—ketamine's rapid neuroplastic window, EMDR's trauma reprocessing, and somatic therapy's body-centered healing; to address trauma at every level: neurological, emotional, and physical.
Works in a New Way
Unlike traditional antidepressants or talk therapy alone, this integrated approach uses ketamine to reset neural patterns while somatic EMDR processing helps your body release stored trauma. Together, they open space for healing where other approaches may have plateaued.

Fast Relief + Lasting Change
Most antidepressants can take weeks to work. Ketamine often begins easing symptoms within hours to days, while the 10-month program structure with deep somatic EMDR integration ensures those shifts become more lasting nervous system rewiring.

Specifically Designed for Trauma
For people who haven't felt enough change with traditional therapy or medications, this integrated approach combines ketamine's rapid neuroplastic effects with somatic EMDR's ability to metabolize trauma at the nervous system level; offering real relief where other treatments fell short.

High Response Rate
Research shows that 70-80% of people experience meaningful improvements with ketamine. Add somatic EMDR processing during the neuroplastic window, and you're working with your brain and body at their most receptive.

Why Therapy Matters in Ketamine-Assisted Healing
Ketamine opens a powerful window for change, but therapy is what makes those changes last. Through therapy, you’ll have support to:

-
Feel safe and grounded before, during, and after treatment
-
Work with what comes up, instead of feeling lost or alone in the experience
-
Use the “neuroplastic window” to practice new patterns that can truly take root
-
Carry insights into daily life so healing extends far beyond the session
What Happens in Your Somatic EMDR Ketamine-Assisted Therapy Program?
35+ Hours of Individual Therapeutic Support over 10 months with Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist & Somatic EMDR Specialist, Sarah Wolfer
Once you've completed your medical screening with Journey Clinical and are approved, you'll receive your ketamine prescription in the mail. At the same time, you'll receive your Carefully Curated Welcome Kit with thoughtful tools like a blood pressure monitor, ginger mints, premium headphones, eye mask, grounding stone, and journal to support you from the very start.

From there, the program follows a structured yet flexible flow designed to balance safety, depth, and lasting nervous system change.
-
Preparation – Over 6 sessions, we take time to understand your story, practice somatic grounding, nervous system regulation tools, and simple boundaries to build a foundation of safety. We may also begin gentle Somatic EMDR processing to address foundational wounds before the medicine work. Together we clarify your hopes and co-create the setting through music, comfort items, and rituals that will help you feel steadied and supported.
-
Medicine Journeys – During eight 2-3 hour dosing sessions, you'll take sublingual ketamine and settle into an inward-focused state with Sarah's guidance and real-time somatic support throughout. While in the medicine space, emotions or sensations may arise. You're invited to notice and release them. Toward the end, we highlight meaningful insights and connect them to new ways of being. Each session ends with grounding and orienting so you leave feeling safe and steady.
-
Deep Integration Work – In your integration sessions the day after each dosing, we weave your experiences into daily life. This includes 90-minute Somatic EMDR processing sessions (after medicine journeys 3-6) where bilateral stimulation and body awareness help your nervous system metabolize trauma at the deepest level.
What Ketamine Feels Like

Many people describe ketamine sessions as entering a dreamlike or meditative state. Physically, your body often feels heavier, softer, and deeply relaxed. Some people notice their breathing slowing, muscles unclenching, or a gentle warmth spreading through the body. Others describe a sense of floating, as if being carried or held.

Alongside the physical shifts, the mind may open in new ways. You might:

-
Experience colors, sounds, or sensations that feel richer or softer
-
Notice memories resurfacing with more clarity or compassion
-
Feel waves of calm moving through the body
-
Rest in a state of quiet stillness where the mind finally eases
-
Sense a deepened connection to yourself, others, or something larger

Every journey is unique. Some sessions bring reflection and insight, while others offer a soothing spaciousness. What matters most is that you’ll be supported the whole time with grounding practices, an attuned presence, and a safe container to explore whatever arises in both body and mind.
Partnering with Journey Clinical for Your Care
As a Journey Clinical KAP Provider, I partner with their specialized medical team to ensure your care is safe, thorough, and well-supported. Journey Clinical handles the medical side of treatment reviewing your health history, determining eligibility, prescribing ketamine lozenges, and monitoring outcomes while I guide you through the therapeutic process.

In this program, we use sublingual ketamine lozenges. These are small tablets you hold in your mouth, swish for about 12 minutes, and then spit out. This method is gentle, safe, and effective for at-home treatment.

Medical intakes and follow-ups with Journey Clinical might be covered by insurance, you can check out if your insurance plan covers KAP with Journey Clinical HERE. Preparation, integration, and dosing sessions with me are not covered by insurance, but many clients can use out-of-network benefits for partial reimbursement.
