In today's increasingly digital world, health and wellness services are evolving to accommodate new needs and preferences. As a certified ketamine-assisted psychotherapist and the Founder of Courageous You, I’m excited to offer remote ketamine-assisted therapy to clients in Washington, Florida, and Idaho. This innovative approach allows individuals to experience profound healing from the comfort of their own homes. Many people wonder how this can be done virtually, so I thought I should dive into some of the details!

The Comfort of Home
One of the most significant advantages of remote sessions is the ability for clients to engage in therapy in their own environment. Here are a few reasons why people love remote ketamine-assisted therapy:
Home Comfort: Many find that being at home during sessions reduces anxiety. Familiar surroundings allow clients to relax more fully, contributing to a better therapeutic experience.
No Clinical Setting: Traditional therapy often requires visits to sterile medical environments that can feel intimidating. Remote therapy eliminates this barrier, making healing feel more approachable.
Transport Hassles Eliminated: Clients do not need to worry about arranging transportation for post-session recovery. This is particularly helpful as many clients may feel disoriented after dosing.
Personalized Support: Unlike clinical settings where support is often limited, clients can have their comfort items, favorite blankets, or even supportive friends and family nearby, enhancing their experience.
How It Works
My remote ketamine-assisted therapy is structured to support clients at every stage of the process:
1. Partnership with Journey Clinical: I collaborate closely with Journey Clinical, which manages the medical aspects of the therapy. They evaluate each client’s eligibility for ketamine therapy and send the prescribed medication directly to their homes. Journey Clinical handles everything remotely as well to make things as smooth as possible for all our clients.
2. The Welcome Kit: Upon approval, clients receive a specially curated welcome kit in the mail we at Courageous You put together. This kit includes eye shades, a blood pressure monitor, ginger mints, a journal, and other thoughtful items to help set the stage for success.
3. Preparation for Success: To ensure that clients feel ready for their sessions, I’ve created an extensive 100-page workbook that we navigate together. This resource is designed to cultivate understanding and readiness for the dosing experience.
Additionally, we conduct 2-4 virtual preparation sessions where we review any questions, practice the logistics of the dosing day, and collaboratively set everything in place for an optimal experience.

Dosing Day Experience
On dosing day, we’ll engage in a three-hour virtual session together. As your therapist, I am present the entire time, providing guidance and support from start to finish. Clients are required to have an adult chaperone of their choice present at home for an extra layer of safety and comfort throughout the session. This person does not need to be physically in the same room during the dosing session, unless the client prefers that, but does need to remain at home throughout the 3 hour dosing period.
Integration of Insights
The day after each dosing session, I facilitate integration sessions where we explore the insights gained during the experience. These crucial conversations help individuals contextualize their experiences and incorporate newfound wisdom into their lives. Typically, clients participate in 6-8 dosing sessions, allowing for gradual and profound transformation.
Flexible Options for Support
For clients who are looking for a more affordable option, I also offer self-led dosing sessions. In these cases, I remain available for emergencies while clients manage their dosing experiences independently. This flexibility allows clients to tailor their healing process to fit their needs and budget. I also offer group ketamine-assisted therapy as well as relationship KAP to allow for a variety of options to accommodate the diverse needs of my clientele.
Conclusion
Remote ketamine-assisted therapy provides an accessible and intimate way for individuals to experience healing without the usual barriers that can come with many clinical settings. By bringing this transformative process into the home, we are not just redefining how therapy is delivered; we are empowering clients to take charge of their healing journeys in a safe and supportive environment.
